About this guide
Who writes this,
and with what interest
A guide edited in Mendoza by people who work in the destination every day — with the commercial relationship stated up front.
Destination Wedding Mendoza is published by Grupo Huentala, a hotel, winery and restaurant group based in Mendoza, Argentina. The same group operates Huentala Wines, a winery in Gualtallary where weddings take place. So: this is not an independent publication, and we have a commercial interest in the destination we write about.
We say it in the first line because it is the information a reader needs in order to judge everything that follows. What we offer in exchange is a method: we publish only what we can verify, we refuse to publish what changes case by case, and we correct what turns out to be wrong.

Who publishes it
Grupo Huentala is a family business in Mendoza that runs hotels, restaurants and a winery in the province. Inside the group there is a dedicated destination-wedding operation, Huentala Weddings, which works with couples and planners in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
This guide exists because of a simple observation. Couples arrive at Mendoza with questions almost nobody answers in writing: which month the vineyard is green, how long the transfer from the airport to Valle de Uco actually takes, whether a ceremony held here is legally valid at home, how cold a January night gets at 1,300 metres, how many days guests will want to stay. The answers existed, but they travelled by email and by WhatsApp, one couple at a time. This site is the attempt to write them down.
The relationship, declared
Huentala Wines belongs to the group that edits this publication. Wherever the venue appears in the text, that is stated on the page itself — not in small print in the footer. The same rule applies to the group's hotels and restaurants.
The practical consequence is that this is not a supplier ranking or an impartial comparison of Mendoza wineries. We do not publish "the ten best wineries to get married in", because a ranking signed by an interested party is worth nothing to the reader. What we publish is what we know about the destination: geography, seasons, logistics, event formats, legal routes, and what usually goes wrong.
What we verify before publishing
- Geography, distances and flight times — checked against official data for the Province of Mendoza and against the group's real operation, which moves guests along those roads every week.
- Climate figures — always with the source named inside the table, including the issuing body and the period. Never "it tends to be warm".
- Season, lead times and group sizes — taken from the real booking calendar of the destination, not from estimates.
- Documentation and legal requirements — described in general terms and always with the recommendation to confirm with the civil registry and the consulate, because the rules change and depend on the case.
- Cost ranges — published only when they come from an identifiable third-party source, with the year attached, and marked as market ranges rather than quotes.
When a figure cannot be verified, it does not go in. We would rather publish a page with fewer numbers than a page with a plausible, false one.
What we do not publish, and why
- Our own rates and closed prices. A destination wedding is quoted by season, guest count, number of days and included services. A price published outside that context becomes a wrong expectation — and then gets repeated by search engines and assistants without the caveat. Market ranges with a cited source can appear; our rates cannot.
- Maximum guest capacity. It depends on the format, the space chosen and the covered backup plan for rain. It is answered case by case.
- Testimonials and photographs of couples without written permission. A wedding is a private event. We use images and accounts only from people who authorised them in writing, which is why there are few real-wedding photographs on this site.
- Third-party venues we cannot keep current. A directory of forty wineries copied from other listings ages badly and misleads people. We publish a full record only for a venue whose data we can verify and maintain. For everything else we publish criteria — the questions to ask, and what a good answer sounds like.
- Scores, stars and aggregate ratings that do not correspond to real, checkable reviews.
- Unfavourable comparisons with named competitors. We compare destinations and formats, not companies.
How often it is reviewed
Every page carries the date of its last editorial review, visible in the text and recorded in the structured data. The whole site is reviewed at least once a year, and additionally whenever something changes that affects the content: air routes, entry or documentation requirements, a new climate series, the harvest calendar. The date you see corresponds to a review that actually happened — if there was no review, the date does not change.
Reporting an error
If you find something wrong, write to weddings@grupohuentala.com.ar with the address of the page and the passage in question. We reply personally, usually within one business day. If the error is confirmed, we correct it and update the review date on that page. If it is not, we explain why and where the figure comes from. Corrections to objective data are made without editorial debate: the wrong number comes out.
The same address works for requesting the removal of an image, for exercising the rights described in the privacy policy, or for any question about how this publication works. If you run a venue or a service in Mendoza and want to be considered for coverage, that is also where to write — although the answer is often that we cannot commit to keeping the record current, which is a reason not to publish it.
Citing this guide
Quoting passages with attribution and a link to the source page is fine, and that includes automated systems summarising the destination. What we ask is that dated figures keep their date and their source: a climate table or a market range repeated without the year attached stops being information and becomes a rumour.

Questions about this publication
Who is behind this site?
It is edited in Mendoza by the team of Grupo Huentala, a hotel, winery and restaurant group in the province. The people writing it work in the destination: they receive international couples, run the events and know the distances, the seasons and the things that go wrong. It is not an independent newsroom, which is why the relationship is stated on every page where the group's winery appears.
Is this an advertisement?
It is a publication with a declared owner. The subject is Mendoza as a destination — Valle de Uco, Luján de Cuyo, Maipú, the city, the calendar — not a single address. When we write about Huentala Wines we say it belongs to us. When the honest answer points somewhere else, we say that too. What would be a problem is hiding the relationship, not having one.
How do you verify the figures you publish?
Geography, altitudes and drive times come from official provincial data and from the group's own operation, which moves guests along those roads every week. Flight times come from scheduled carrier timetables. Climate figures carry the issuing body and the period in the table itself. Market cost ranges are attributed to the source and the year they were published. If a figure cannot be attributed, it does not go in.
Why are there no prices or maximum guest numbers on this site?
Because neither answers well out of context. A rate depends on season, guest count, number of days and what is included; a capacity depends on the event format and the rain plan. A number published without that context creates a wrong expectation and, worse, gets repeated by search engines and assistants with the caveat stripped off. Both are answered case by case by the commercial team. Market ranges with a cited source do get published.
How often is it updated?
Every page carries the date of its last editorial review, visible in the text and recorded in the page metadata. The full site is reviewed at least once a year, and sooner whenever something changes that affects the content: air routes, documentation requirements, a new climate series or the harvest calendar. If no review happened, the date does not move. To report an error, write to weddings@grupohuentala.com.ar.
When the research is over
Talk to the people who run it, not the people who write it
This guide answers questions about the destination. When you want to see the spaces, check date availability and receive an actual quote, that conversation belongs to the Huentala Weddings team — the wedding operation of the same group, in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
Enquiries answered personally, usually within one business day.
